Daring to post outside of my blog

This is exciting to me.

I've submitted a story to a "short story contest".

If you would like to read it--and perhaps to vote and comment-- this is the link:

Loved the story and commented. It was my first time to use the technology and I hope it worked. Well done!

Doris I read your story. It was lovely! I know you must have many more to share! Congrats on submitting to a contest. I am a fledgling writer myself, and I know how scary that is to do. But every step you take will build your courage. You will begin to realize that all writers are just regular folks that have something to share. And when you write for the Lord, it lends a whole different level of exitement to the task. God bless you as you write for Him!

DEAR DORIS,
THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY BLOG. I AM CURIOUS HOW YOU DISCOVERED IT...HOWEVER YOU DID, I AM THANKFUL THE LORD DIRECTED YOU THERE. I LOVE VISITING AND MAKING NEW FRIENDS.
I READ YOUR WHOLE FIRST PAGE OF POSTS.
WE ARE A LOT A LIKE. I WAS A NURSE UNTIL MY DIABETES TOOK A TURN AND OTHER HEALTH ISSUES. I AM ALWAYS ASSESSING HOW PEOPLE LOOK, JUST LIKE A NURSE ASSESSMENT. MY DAUGHTER WENT TO COLLEGE FOR 2 YEARS AND WANTED TO BE AN ART THERAPIST BUT THEY WEREN'T OFFERING THAT AT THE TIME, SO SHE WAS WORKING TOWARD A SOCIAL WORKER...NOW ART THERAPY IS POPULAR AND THEY SEE THE IMPORTANCE OF IT BECAUSE CHILDREN AND ADULTS CAN SAY IN ART WHAT THEY WILL NOT SPEAK WHETHER OUT OF FEAR, TRAUMA, ANGER...WELL YOU KNOW YOU ARE A SOCIAL WORKER.
SO VERY NICE TO MEET YOU. YOU ARE A VERY WARM, ENGAGING PERSON.
YOU COULD DEFINITELY TELL THE DIFFERENCE IN ANDY WILLIAMS FROM WHEN YOUR PICTURE WAS SIGNED UNTIL THE BOOK SIGNING. AT LEAST YOU DID GET TO MEET HIM BUT THE FIRST VISIT WAS SUCH A POSITIVE ONE.
LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING TO KNOW YOU.
HAVE A BEAUTIFUL WEEK.
HUGS

Dearest Doris,

What a generous act of you to give something that precious to a girl who probably never ever received something in her entire life! Thanks for doing that...
Also thanks for your comment and congratulations for having now officially entered the short story contest!

Sunny greetings from Georgia
